BYRON EXTRAVAGANZA: 3 DAY WEDDING ITINERARY

Give your guests an unforgettable taste of Byron Bay's charm by showcasing its rich variety of experiences.

  • Hosting welcome drinks the day before your wedding is a wonderful way to kick off the celebrations and set a relaxed, joyful tone for the big day. If you are a beverage aficionado, Bar Heather is the place to go. The Mez Club, Loft and Casa Luna are also great bars. If you're after a more relaxed pub feel - check out The Beach Hotel or Stone & Wood Brewery.

  • A night-before wedding dinner is the perfect way to gather close family and friends for an intimate, memorable evening before your big day. The Beach Byron Bay, Raes on Wategoes and Bar Heather are hands-down the best places to eat in town. If you're looking for something a little more casual then Pixie Italian, Lightyears, Bang Bag, Casa Luna, TreeHouse and Bay Lab Pizza are great. If a pub meal is calling - then Beach Hotel and the Stone & Wood Brewery are where it's at.

  • If there are members of your party who are keen to kick on - check out Loft, Casa Luna, The Mex Club, The Northern, The Rails and The Beach Hotel.

  • A farewell brunch the day after your wedding is a lovely way to extend the celebration, offering a relaxed opportunity to say goodbye and share final moments with your guests before they depart. BayLeaf, Top Shop, Bay Grocer, High Life and Combi are the best cafes in Byron. If spectacular views take your fancy - why not get together at the Cape Byron Lighthouse Cafe (the food isn't fancy, but the views are next level).

  • No trip to the Byron region is complete without checking out the views from the light house and enjoying the spectacular beaches (explore Wategoes, The Pass, Cosy Corner at Tallow Beach, Belongil and Main). Maybe a group surfing lesson or kayaking trip could be fun? The walk from Wategoes up to the lighthouse is stunning; as is the Three Sisters coastal walking track from Broken Head. Head into the hinterland to enjoy some bush walks and waterfall swims (see the Hinterland Haven itinerary for details).

  • Byron Bay is a mecca for health and wellness - so why not take advantage of the many local amenities to help you unwind and relax before and/or after your wedding. For massages, saunas and bath house experiences check out Coma , Nibus Co, The Byron Bathhouse, and The Banya. For a full range of treatments, visit the Endota Day Spa, Eleme Spa or The Little Company.

  • Captivate your guests and create thrilling memories with horse riding, hot air ballooning, or sky diving.

  • Byron Bay is well-known for its creative community. Get amongst it by checking out the collection of small independent art galleries in the Byron Arts & Industrial Estate - such as Art Kind, Gallery 7, Thomgallery, Justine Reilly Art (to name a few). Catch a show at The Rails, The Great Northern or The Byron Community Centre. Do an eco-tour with Vision Walks or learn about our indigenous heritage with Explore Byron.
